No. 153/2003 - Abattoirs Act 1988 (Veterinary Examination) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 AmendmentsLeasuithe I Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 39 and 63 of the Abattoirs Act, 1988 (No. 8 of 1988) hereby make the following Regulations:- 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Abattoirs Act, 1988 (Veterinary Examination) (Amendment) Regulations, 2003.
(2)The Abattoirs Act, 1988 (Veterinary Examination) Regulations, 1992 to 2003 shall be construed together as one. 2. The Abattoirs Act, 1988 (Veterinary Examination) Regulations, 1992 to 2003 in relation to bovine animals presented for slaughter or slaughtered in abattoirs in the counties of Galway, Kerry, Limerick and Mayo may be disapplied in respect of the following provisions:- Regulation 6
(2)(b) and
(3)(a) (iii), Regulation 9
(2), First Schedule, Part II, paragraph (m), and Second Schedule, Part II, paragraph (z).
