No. 295/2003 - The Postal Money Order (No. 2) Regulations 2003 AmendmentsLeasuithe An Post, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 23 of the Post Office Act, 1908 and Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act 1983 , hereby makes the following Scheme: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Postal Money Order (No. 2 Regulations 2003. 2. Unless otherwise specified, reference to regulations followed by a number refers to the relevant regulation of this scheme. 3. In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires: “The No. 1 Regulations” means the Postal Money Order (No. 1) Regulations, 2001 ( S.I. No. 485 of 2001 ). 4. Schedule One of the No. 1 Regulations is hereby repealed and replaced with Schedule One of these Regulations. 5. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July 2003. SCHEDULE ONE Charges Value of Postal Money Order Charge € € Up to 15 80c 15.01 to 30 2.10c 30.01 to 130 2.90c 130.01 to 650 3.70c In respect of supplementary services € For correcting or altering the name of the Remitter or Payee or Office of Payment 2.50c For stopping payment 2.50c For the issue of a duplicate Postal Money Order (Including stopping payment of the original Order) 2.50c The renewal or repayment of a lost or void Postal Money Order (including stopping payment of the original Order) 2.50c For the confirmation of payment of a Postal Money Order 1.25c Given under the Common Seal of An Post this 26th day of JUNE 2003. This Scheme provides for an increase in the charges for the issue of Postal Money Orders and takes effect on the 1st of July, 2003.
