(4)of the European Communities (Postal Services) Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 616 of 2002 ), hereby makes the following Scheme:
  1. This Scheme may be cited as the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 38) Scheme
  2. This Scheme shall be operative with effect from the 6th day of January
  3. In this Scheme: “Principal Warrant” means the Foreign Post Warrant of 1949 ( S.I. No. 267 of 1949 ) as amended; “Scheme No. 34” means the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 34) Scheme, 1998 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1998 ); “Scheme No. 36” means the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 36) Scheme, 2002 ( S.I. No. 647 of 2002 ).
  4. Words defined in the Principal Warrant shall have the same meaning in this Scheme.
  5. All rates and charges for letters and postal packets in this Scheme pertain to postal packets outside the “reserved area” as defined by the European Communities (Postal Services) Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 616 of 2002 ).
  6. The entries in the First Schedule to this Scheme are hereby substituted for the entries in the First Schedule (as inserted by Regulation 5 of Scheme No. 36) to the Principal Warrant insofar as they relate to the letters and postal packets referred to in Regulation 4 of this Scheme.
  7. The entries in the Second Schedule to this Scheme are hereby substituted for the entries in the Second Schedule (as inserted by Regulation 15 of Scheme No. 34 and amended by Regulation 6 of Scheme No. 36) to the Principal Warrant.
  8. The entries in the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant (as inserted by Regulation 7 of Scheme No. 36) are hereby replaced by the entries in the Third Schedule to this Scheme. FIRST SCHEDULE Rates of Postage Description of Postal Packet Limit of Size Destination Limit of Weight Rate €
