(1)of the Social Welfare Act, 2001 (No. 5 of 2001)) of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1993 (No 27 of 1993), hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation. 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Consolidated Payments Provisions) (Amendment) (No. 9) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations, 2003.
(2)These Regulations and the Social Welfare (Consolidated Payment Provisions) Regulations 1994 to 2003 shall be construed together as one and may be cited as the Social Welfare (Consolidated Payment Provisions) Regulations 1994 to
- Commencement.
- These Regulations shall come into operation on 19 January,
- Definitions.
- In these Regulations — “the Principal Regulations” means the Social Welfare (Consolidated Payment Provisions) Regulations, 1994 ( S.I. No. 417 of 1994 ) Revocation.
- Article 83A (as amended by the Social Welfare (Consolidated Payments Provisions) (Amendment) (No. 7) (Euro) Regulations, 2001 ( S.I. No. 614 of 2001 )) of the Principal Regulations is revoked. Saver.
- Article 4 of these Regulations shall not have the effect of reducing the rate of one-parent family payment payable to a qualified parent immediately before the commencement of these Regulations in relation to that one-parent family payment. - MARY COUGHLAN Minister for Social and Family Affairs EXPLANATORY NOTE [This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation] Currently, where a recipient of one-parent family payment exceeds the weekly income threshold of Eur 293, Regulations provide for the circumstances in which the recipient may receive for a further 12 months, a transitional one-parent family payment payable at half-rate. These Regulations revoke the entitlement to such half-rate payments in circumstances where the weekly income threshold is exceeded. One-parent family recipients currently in receipt of transitional payments will not be effected by these Regulations and will continue to recieve their transitional payments for the remainder of their 52 payment term. These Regulations come into operation on 19 January,
