No. 702/2003 - European Communities (Authorization, Placing on The Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2003 AmendmentsLeasuithe I, Joe Walsh, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2003/70/EC of 17 July 20031 , Commission Directive 2003/79/EC of 13 August 20032 Commission Directive 2003/81/EC of 5 September 20033 , Commission Directive 2003/82/EC of 11 September 20034 and Commission Directive 2003/84/EC of 25 September 20035 hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 1 January 2004 in relation to Coniothyrium minitans, on 1 July 2004 in relation to Flurtamone, Flufenacet, Iodosulfuron, Dimethenamid-p, Picoxystrobin Fosthiazate and Silithiofam, on 1 December 2004 in relation to Mecoprop, Mecoprop-P, and Propiconazole, on 1 February 2005 in relation to Molinate, Thiram and Ziram and on 30 July 2004 in relation to the inclusion of Annexes IV and V of the Directive of 1991. 2. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 83 of 2003 ) are amended, in Regulation 2

These Regulations, which amend Council Directive 91/414/EEC concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, consolidate Annex I of that Directive and provide for the inclusion of the active substances: Mecoprop, Mecoprop-P, Propiconazole, Molinate, Thiram, Ziram Coniothyrium minitans, Flurtamone, Flufenacet, Iodosulfuron, Dimethenamid-p, Picoxystrobin Fosthiazate and Silithiofam to Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC, and for the inclusion of Annexes IV and V to Directive 91/414/EEC. 1 O.J.
