No. 117/2004 - European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful To Plants Or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (Amendment) Regulations, 2004 AmendmentsLeasuithe I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2003/116/EC of 4 December 20031 hereby make the following Regulations— 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and come into operation on 31 March 2004.
(2)The European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) Regulations 1980 to 2002 and these Regulations may be construed together and cited as the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) Regulation 1980 to 2004. 2. The definition of “Directive” in Regulation 2
(1)European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) Regulations 1980 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1980 ) is amended by substituting for “Commission Directive 2002/28/EC of 19 March 2002 and Commission Directive 2002/29/EC of 19 March 2002” (inserted by the European Communities (Introduction of Organisms Harmful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 197 of 2002 ) the following— “Commission Directive 2002/28/EC of 19 March 2002, Commission Directive 2002/29/EC of 19 March 2002 and Commission Directive 2003/116/EC of 4 December 2003;”.
