No. 78/2004 - Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (Controlled Drugs) (Declaration No. 4) Order, 2004 AmendmentsLeasuithe THE GOVERNMENT, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2
(2)of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (No. 12 of 1977), hereby makes the following Order:
- This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (Controlled Drugs) (Declaration No. 4) Order,
- This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of March,
- Each of the substances, products and preparations specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be a controlled drug for the purposes of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 (No. 12 of 1977). SCHEDULE
- The stereoisomeric forms of the following substances, not being cathine, namely: N-Acetylanthranilic acid Ephedrine Ergometrine Ergotamine Isosafrole (cis isomer) Isosafrole (trans isomer) Lysergic acid 3,4-Methylenedioxyphenylpropan-2-one Norephedrine (Phenylpropanolamine) 1-Phenyl-2-propanone Piperonal Pseudoephedrine Safrole.
- Any salt of a substance specified in paragraph 1 of this Schedule.
- Any preparation or other product containing any proportion of a substance or product specified in paragraph 1 or 2 of this Schedule. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Govern- ment, this 24th day of February,
