(2)and 19
(1)of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), (as adapted by the Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 2002 ( S.I. No. 306 of 2002 )), hereby make the following Regulations with respect to which, pursuant to section 2
(5)of that Act, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House: 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 2004.
(2)These Regulations come into operation on the 1st day of January, 2005. 2. The prescribed amount of levy payable under section 2 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979) shall be— (
- a)as regards milk, 0.11 cent per litre and (
- b)as regards animals slaughtered or exported live, €2.54 per animal. 3. The Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 2003 ( S.I. No. 714 of 2003 ) are revoked. (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) These Regulations, which come into effect on 1st January 2005 prescribe new rates of disease levies on milk for processing and on bovine animals slaughtered or exported live.
