No. 315 of 2005 Amalgamation of Marriage Registrars' Districts (Number 1) Order, 2005 S.I. No. 315 of 2005 Amalgamation of Marriage Registrars' Districts (Number 1) Order, 2005 I, Kieran Feely, an tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows:- 1. This order may be cited as the Amalgamation of Marriage Registrars' Districts (Number 1) Order, 2005. 2. For the purposes of Section 57 of the Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1844, as amended by Section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, the District of Loughrea is hereby amalgamated with the District of Galway. 3. The district formed as a result of Article 2 shall be referred to as the District of Galway and shall comprise the County of Galway. 4. This order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 2005. Given under my Official Seal at Oifig An Ard-Chláraitheora, Convent Road Roscommon on this 22 day of June 2005.
