No. 555 of 2005 European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 I, Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision 2005/573/EC1 of 22 July 2005, hereby make the following regulations - 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China) (Amendment) Regulations 2005. 2. The European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China) Regulations 2002 ( S.I No. 141 of 2002 ) as amended by the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China (Amendment) Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No 559 of 2002 ), the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China (Amendment) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No 49 of 2003 ) and by the European Communities (Control on Imports of Animal Products from China (Amendment) Regulations 2004 ( S.I. No 537 of 2004 ) are amended by-
- a)The substitution for the definition of “Commission Decision” in regulation 2
(1)of- “Commission Decision” means Commission Decision No. 2002/994/EC2 of 20 December 2002 as amended by Commission Decision No. 2003/72/EC3 of 30 January 2003, Commission Decision No. 2004/621/EC4 of 26 August 2004 and Commission Decision 2005/573 of 22 July 2005; b) The substitution of Regulation 8
(2)(a) by: “an animal product to which Article 2
(2)of the Commission Decision refers”.
