No. 770 of 2005 Registration of Adoptions and Marriages (Abridged Certificate) Regulations 2005 I, Mary Harney, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Vital Statistics and Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1952 (No. 8 of 1952) and section 22 of the Adoption Act 1952 (No. 25 of 1952), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:- 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Adoptions and Marriages (Abridged Certificate) Regulations 2005. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 5th December 2005. 3. An tArd-Chláraitheoir, a Superintendent Registrar or a Registrar may issue, as respects an entry in a register of marriages or the Adopted Children Register in which corrections have been made, a certificate of the matters at such entry, as so corrected, endorsed in the manner as set out in Part I, or Part II, as appropriate, of the Schedule to these Regulations on payment of a fee of €8.00, together with the appropriate search fee payable under the Civil Registration (Births and Deaths (Fees) Regulations 2005 or the appropriate search fee payable under the Civil Registration (Marriages) (Fees) Regulations 2005. 4. The Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulations 1987 ( S.I. No. 234 of 1987 ) are hereby revoked. SCHEDULE PART I Certified to have been compiled from the records in the custody of an tArd-Chláraitheoir. GIVEN under the Seal of Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora, Roscommon, __________ _______.
