No. 773 of 2005 European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 I, Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972 and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2005/13/EC of 21 February 20051 and Commission Directive 2005/67/EC of 18 October 20052 hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 31 December 2005. 2. The European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval Regulations 2005 (S.I. 69 of 2005) are amended in Regulation 2

(1)by substituting for the definition “the Directive” the following - “ “the Directive” means Directive 2003/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 20033 as amended by Commission Directive 2005/13/EC of 21 February 2005 and Commission Directive 2005/67/EC of 18 October 2005;”. Council Directive 2005/13/EC amends existing legislation concerning the emissions of gaseous and particulate pollutants by engines intended to power agricultural or forestry tractors. It also amends Annex I to Directive 2003/37/EC. Council Directive 2005/67/EC amends Annexes I and II to Council Directive 86/298/EEC Annexes I and II to Council Directive 87/402/EEC and Annexes I, II and III to Directive 2003/37/EC. 1 O.J.
