No. 164 of 2006 European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 I, Martin Cullen, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to, Directive 2005/39/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 20051 , Directive 2005/40/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 20052 and Directive 2005/41/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 20053 , in so far as they relate to the entry into service of motor vehicles, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) (Amendment) Regulations 2006. 2. The European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 551 of 2003 ) are amended by substituting for Schedules 1 and 2 (inserted by the European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 551 of 2003 ) by substituting new schedules for the existing Schedules 1 and 2, as inserted by the European Communities (Mechanically Propelled Vehicle Entry into Service) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No.282 of 2005 ).
