No. 488 of 2006 European Communities (Newcastle Disease) (Control on Imports of Avian Products from certain districts of Bulgaria) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2006 I, Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision 2006/571/EC of 14 August 20061 hereby make the following regulations:- 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Newcastle Disease) (Control on Imports of Avian Products from certain districts of Bulgaria (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2006. 2. The European Communities (Newcastle Disease) (Control on Imports of Avian Products from certain districts of Bulgaria) Regulations (No. 2) 2005 ( S.I No. 632 of 2005 ) are amended by the substitution, for the definition of “Commission Decision” in Regulation 2

(1)(inserted by the European Communities (Newcastle Disease) (Control on Imports of Avian Products from certain districts of Bulgaria (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2006 ( S.I No. 298 of 2006 )), of - “ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision No. 2005/648/EC2 of 8 September 2005 as amended by Commission Decision No. 2006/263/EC of 27 March 20063 , Commission Decision No. 2006/354/EC of 11 May 20064 and Commission Decision No. 2006/571/EC of 14 August 2006;”.

This Order amends S.I No. 632 of 2005 and gives effect to Commission Decision 2006/571/EC concerning certain protective measures with regard to avian products being imported from certain administrative districts of Bulgaria where there have been outbreaks of Newcastle Disease.
