No. 550 of 2006 Mental Health Act 2001 (Authorised Officer) Regulations 2006 I, Tim O' Malley, Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 5
(1)and section 9
(8)of the Mental Health Act 2001 , (No. 25 of 2001) and the Health and Children (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No.2) Order 2004 ( S.I. No 843 of 2004 ), hereby make the following regulations:
- These Regulations may be cited as the Mental Health Act 2001 (Authorised Officer) Regulations
- These regulations come into force on 1 November
- For the purposes of section 9 of the Mental Health Act 2001 , the rank and grade of “authorised officer” is hereby prescribed as Local Health Manager, General Manager, Grade VIII, Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker. GIVEN under my hand, 1 November
