No. 555 of 2006 EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (AVIAN INFLUENZA) (AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS) (NO. 3) REGULATIONS 2006 I, Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Decision 2006/521/EC of 25 July 20061 and Commission Decision 2006/522/EC of 25 July 20062 hereby make the following regulations— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Amendment of Regulations) (No. 3) Regulations 2006. 2.
(1)The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Imports of Feathers from Certain Third Countries) Regulations 2006 ( S.I No. 11 of 2006 ) are amended by the substitution, for the definition of “Commission Decision” (inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza)(Control on Imports of Feathers from Certain Third Countries)(Amendment) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 126 of 2006 )) in Regulation 2
(1), of— “ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2006/7/EC of 9 January 2006 as amended by Commission Decision 2006/183/EC 28 February 2006 and Commission Decision 2006/521/EC of 25 July 2006;”.
(2)The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Imports from Turkey) Regulations 2005 ( S.I No. 679 of 2005 ) are amended by the substitution, for the definition of “Commission Decision” (inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza)(Amendment of Regulations) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 257 of 2006 )) in regulation 2
(1), of— “ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2005/733/EC of 19 October 2005 as amended by Commission Decision 2006/321/EC of 28 April 2006 and Commission Decision 2006/521/EC of 25 July 2006;”,
(3)The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 708 of 2005 ) are amended in regulation 2
(1), (
- a)by the substitution for the definition of ‘Commission Decision’ (inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza)(Amendment of Regulations)(No.2) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No 356 of 2006 )), of— “ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2005/759/EC of 27 October 2005 as amended by Commission Decision 2005/862/EC of 30 November 2005, Commission Decision 2006/79/EC of 31 January 2006, Commission Decision 2006/405/EC of 7 June 2006 and Commission Decision 2006/522/EC of 25 July 2006;”, and (
- b)by the substitution for the definition of ‘third country’ (inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Movement of Pet Birds) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 906 of 2005 )), of— “ ‘third country’ means a country (other than Andorra, Croatia, the Faeroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland or the Vatican City) that is not a member state of the European Community”,
(4)The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Control on Imports of Birds) Regulations 2005 ( S.I No. 709 of 2005 ) are amended by the substitution for the definition of ‘Commission Decision’ (inserted by the European Communities (Avian Influenza)(Amendment of Regulations)(No.2) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No 356 of 2006 )) in regulation 2
(1), of— “ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2005/760/EC of 27 October 2005 as amended by Commission Decision 2005/862/EC of 30 November 2005, Commission Decision 2006/79/EC of 31 January 2006, Commission Decision 2006/405/EC of 7 June 2006 and Commission Decision 2006/522/EC of 25 July 2006;”.
(5)The European Communities (Avian Influenza) (Precautionary Measures) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No 678 of 2005 ) is revoked.
