I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2006/78/EC of 29 September 2006, hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Cosmetic Products) (Amendment No. 5) Regulations 2007. 2. These Regulations shall be construed as one with the European Communities (Cosmetic Products) Regulations 2004 to 2006 and may be cited together with those Regulations as the European Communities (Cosmetic Products) Regulations 2004 to 2007. 3. In these Regulations “the Principal Regulations” mean the European Communities (Cosmetic Products) Regulations 2004 ( S.I. No. 870 of 2004 ). 4. The Principal Regulations are hereby amended by the addition to the definition of “Directive”, in Regulation 4
(1)thereof, of the reference “2006/78/EC 1 ”.
- The Schedules to the Principal Regulations are hereby amended in the manner set out in the Schedule to these Regulations. Schedule
- Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows— (a) the entry under reference no. 419 is replaced by the following— “
