No. 24 of 2007 Transport (Railway Infrastructure) Regulations 2007 The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 39, 40 and 43 of the Transport (Railway Infrastructure) Act 2001 (No. 55 of 2001), as amended by the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act 2006 (No. 27 of 2006), hereby orders as follows: Citation and commencement 1. (
- a)These Regulations may be cited as the Transport (Railway Infrastructure) Regulations 2007. (
- b)These Regulations shall come into force on the 31st January 2007. Interpretation 2. In these Regulations, ‘the Act’ means the Transport (Railway Infrastructure) Act 2001 as amended by the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Act 2006. Specified bodies for scoping EIS under S. 39
(3)3. The specified bodies for the purposes of section 39
(3)of the Act shall be: (
- a)the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, (
- b)the Environmental Protection Agency, (
- c)the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, and (
- d)the relevant planning authority or authorities. Prescribed body in Northern Ireland. 4. The prescribed authority in Northern Ireland for the purposes of sections 40(
- e)and 43
