I, MARY COUGHLAN, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 13 of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (No. 6 of 1966) (as adapted by the Agriculture and Food (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2007 ( S.I. No. 705 of 2007 )) for the purpose, inter alia, of giving further effect to Article 71 of Directive 2001/82/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 November 2001 1 on the Community code relating to veterinary medicinal products, hereby order as follows— 1. This order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) (Amendment) Order 2007. 2. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 528 of 2002 ) is amended in the First Schedule by the deletion of “Bluetongue” and “Equine encephalomyelitis”. 3. The Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Control on Animal and Poultry Vaccines) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 528 of 2002 ) is amended, in Part 1 of the Second Schedule, by the insertion before “Brucellosis in ruminating animals and swine” of “Bluetongue” and before “Equine viral arteritis” of “Equine encephalomyelitis”.
