No. 771 of 2007 GARDA SÍOCHÁNA (RETIREMENT) REGULATIONS 2007 Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in “Iris Oifigiúil” of 27th November, 2007. I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, after consulting the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána and with the approval of the Government, hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 122 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005, make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Retirement) Regulations 2007. 2. Notwithstanding anything contained in— (
4. a)the Garda Síochána (Retirement) Regulations 1934 (S.R. & O. No. 146 of 1934), (
5. b)Garda Síochána (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 1951 ( S.I. No. 335 of 1951 ), (
6. c)the Garda Síochána (Retirement) Regulations 1990 ( S.I. No. 318 of 1990 ), (
7. d)the Garda Síochána (Retirement) Regulations 1996 ( S.I. No. 16 of 1996 ), (
8. e)the Garda Síochána (Retirement) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 680 of 2006 ), or (
9. f)the Garda Síochána (Retirement) (No. 2) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 686 of 2006 ), as continued in force by section 128 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005, the member of the Garda Síochána to whom the Garda Síochána (Retirement) Regulations 2006 apply shall retire on 21 November 2009.
