I, MARY COUGHLAN, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive 2008/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council 1 , hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2008. 2. The European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 69 of 2005 ) are amended, in Regulation 2

(1), by substituting for the definition of “the Directive” (inserted by the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 162 of 2007 )) the following— “ ‘Directive’ means Directive 2003/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 2003 2 as amended by Commission Directive 2005/13/EC of 21 February 2005 3 , Commission Directive 2005/67/EC of 18 October 2005 4 , Commission Directive 2006/26/EC of 2 March 2006 5 , Commission Directive 2006/96/EC of 20 November 2006 6 and Directive 2008/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.”
