I, BRIAN COWAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of and paragraph

(13)of the First Schedule to the Ethics in Public Office Act 1995 (No. 22 of 1995) and, in relation to each body, organisation or group prescribed for the purposes of that paragraph by the following regulations, being of the opinion that, in the public interest and having regard to the provisions and spirit of that Act, each of them ought to be prescribed, and after consultation with such other Ministers of the Government as I consider appropriate, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Ethics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Directorships of and Positions in Public Bodies) (Amendment) Regulations 2008. 2. The Ethics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Directorships of Public Bodies, and Designated Positions in Public Bodies) Regulations 2004 ( S.I. No. 699 of 2004 ) (as amended by the Ethics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Directorships of and Positions in Public Bodies) (Amendment) Regulations ( S.I. No. 678 of 2006 )) are amended— (
  1. a)by substituting the following for Regulation 8: “8. The following are prescribed for the purposes of the First Schedule to the Act: (
