The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3 and 31
(1)of the Local Government Act 1991 (No. 11 of 1991) (as adapted by the Environment and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2003 ( S.I. No. 233 of 2003 )) hereby orders as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Balbriggan Town Boundary Alteration Order
- This Order shall come into operation on 1 February
- The areas shown as “relevant areas” on the map attached to this Order titled “Balbriggan Town Council” and date stamped 6 January 2009 shall be included in and form part of Balbriggan Town and the boundary of Balbriggan Town shall accordingly stand altered in accordance with that map. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal instrument) This Order extends the boundary of Balbriggan Town from 1 February
- It should be read together with a separate Order, the Balbriggan Town Boundary Alteration (Supplementary) Order 2009 ( S.I. No. 18 of 2009 ) which contains supplementary provisions related to the boundary extension.
