The Minister for Social and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 4, 232 and 241 of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 (No. 26 of 2005), hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation and construction 1.

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Consolidated Claims, Payments and Control) (Amendment) (No. 5) (Prescribed Time) Regulations 2009.
(2)The Social Welfare (Consolidated Claims, Payments and Control) Regulations 2007 to 2009 and these Regulations shall be read together as one and these Regulations shall be included in the collective citation Social Welfare (Consolidated Claims, Payments and Control) Regulations 2007 to
  1. Prescribed time for making application for family income supplement
  2. The Social Welfare (Consolidated Claims, Payments and Control) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 142 of 2007 ) are amended in article 182 by substituting the following paragraph for paragraph (c): “(c) in the case of widow’s (contributory) pension, widower’s (contributory) pension, guardian’s payment (contributory), guardian’s payment (non-contributory), one-parent family payment and family income supplement, the period of 3 months from the day on which, apart from satisfying the condition of making a claim, the claimant becomes entitled thereto,”.
