No. 390 of 2009 GARDA SÍOCHÁNA (RANKS) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS 2009 Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in “Iris Oifigiúil” of 29th September, 2009. I, DERMOT AHERN, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 122 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (No. 20 of 2005), after consulting with the Garda Commissioner and with the approval of the Government, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Ranks) (No. 2) Regulations 2009. 2. The Garda Síochána are to be divided into the ranks specified in column
(1)of the Schedule to these Regulations and the maximum number of members in each rank is that specified in column
(2)of that Schedule opposite themention of the rank in column
(1). 3. The Garda Síochána (Ranks) Regulations 2009 ( S.I. No. 53 of 2009 ) are hereby revoked. SCHEDULE Rank of Garda Síochána
