No. 59 of 2009 EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (INTERNAL MARKET IN ELECTRICITY) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2009 Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in “Iris Oifigiúil” of 24th February, 2009. I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive No. 2003/54/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2003 concerning common rules for the internal market in electricity and repealing Directive 96/92/EC 1 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Internal Market in Electricity) (Amendment) Regulations 2009. 2. Regulation 53 of the European Communities (Internal Market in Electricity) Regulations 2000 ( S.I. No. 445 of 2000 ) is amended by substituting the following for paragraph
(1): “
