I, NOEL DEMPSEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 63
(1)of the Dublin Transport Authority Act 2008 (No. 15 of 2008), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the National Transport Authority (Extension of Remit) Order 2010.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 1 April 2010. 2.
(1)The functions assigned to the National Transport Authority under section 60 of the Dublin Transport Authority Act 2008 (No. 15 of 2008) are extended to apply to the cities and counties of Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford and the contiguous areas of those counties.
(2)In this Article “contiguous area” in relation to a county mentioned in paragraph
(1), means the area of an adjoining county not mentioned in that paragraph through which a public passenger transport service, commencing or finishing in a city or county mentioned in paragraph
