I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2009/106/EC of 14 August 20091 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Juices and Certain Similar Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2010. 2. The European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Juices and Certain Similar Products) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 240 of 2003 ) are amended in Regulation 2 by the substitution of the definition of “Directive”, of- “ ‘Directive’ means Council Directive 2001/112/EC of 20 December 20012 as amended by Commission Directive 2009/106/EC of 14 August 2009;”.
