Amendment of section 8 of Residential Institutions Redress Act 2002. 2. Short title, collective citation and construction. Acts Referred to Residential Institutions Redress Act 2002 2002, No. 13 Residential Institutions Redress Acts 2002 and 2005 Number 16 of 2011 RESIDENTIAL INSTITUTIONS REDRESS (AMENDMENT) ACT 2011 AN ACT TO AMEND THE RESIDENTIAL INSTITUTIONS REDRESS ACT 2002; AND TO PROVIDE FOR RELATED MATTERS. [25th July, 2011] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: Amendment of section 8 of Residential Institutions Redress Act 2002. 1.— Section 8 of the Residential Institutions Redress Act 2002 is amended by inserting the following subsections after subsection
(3): “
(4)Notwithstanding the provisions of this Act, the Board shall not consider an application under this section that is made on or after 17 September 2011.
(5)The Board shall, not later than 6 weeks before the date subsequently mentioned in this subsection, publish a notice to the effect that the Board shall not consider an application under this section that is made on or after 17 September 2011 in— (
- a)Iris Oifigiúil, (
- b)2 daily newspapers circulating in the State, and (
- c)2 daily newspapers circulating in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.”. Short title, collective citation and construction. 2.—
(1)This Act may be cited as the Residential Institutions Redress (Amendment) Act 2011.
(2)The Residential Institutions Redress Acts 2002 and 2005 and this Act may be cited together as the Residential Institutions Redress Acts 2002 to 2011 and shall be read together as one.
