I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Regulation (EC) No. 1069/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 20091 and Commission Regulation (EU) No. 142/2011 of 25 February 20112 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies and Animal By-products) (Amendment) Regulations 2011. 2. A reference in the European Communities (Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies and Animal By-products) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 252 of 2008 ) or in an instrument issued under those Regulations— (
  4. a)to a provision in Regulation (EC) No. 1774/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 October 20023 is to be read in accordance with the correlation table in the Annex to Regulation (EC) No. 1069/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009, or (
  5. b)to an enactment repealed by Article 35 of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 142/2011 of 25 February 2011 is construed as a reference to the relevant article of that Regulation.
