(4)of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 (No. 37 of 2010), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 (Section 11
(1)) (Commencement) Order
  2. The 1st day of October 2011 is appointed as the day on which section 11
(1)of the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2010 (No. 37 of 2010) comes into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 27 September 2011. JOAN BURTON, Minister for Social Protection. (4)) (Commencement) Order 2011 and the Social Welfare and Pensions Act 2011 (Section 10) (Commencement) Order 2011, provide for the commencement of a range of amendments to the legislative provisions relating to the operation of the Supplementary Welfare Allowance scheme, which are contained in the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 , in order to facilitate the transfer of responsibility for the administration of that scheme from the Health Service Executive to the Department of Social Protection with effect from 1st October 2011.
