(1)of the Maritime Safety Act 2005 (No. 11 of 2005)) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1992 (No. 2 of 1992) and the Maritime Transport, Safety and Security (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2005 ( S.I. No. 842 of 2005 ), hereby make the following regulations:
- These Regulations may be cited as the Safety of Fishing Vessels Regulations 2007 (Revocation) Regulations
- The Safety of Fishing Vessels Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 563 of 2007 ) are revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 7 February 2011 PAT CAREY, Minister for Transport. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) The purpose of these Regulations is to revoke the Safety of Fishing Vessels Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 563 of 2007 ). The 2007 Regulations are no longer required because powers and arrangements for the raising of sunken vessels are now provided in Part 5 of the Merchant Shipping Act 2010 (No. 14 of 2010).
