Amendment of Electoral Act 1992. 2. Short title, collective citation and construction. Acts Referred to Electoral (Amendment) Act 2001 2001, No. 38 Electoral Act 1992 1992, No. 23 Electoral Acts 1992 to 2011 Number 27 of 2012 ELECTORAL (AMENDMENT) ACT 2012 AN ACT TO AMEND THE ELECTORAL ACT 1992; AND TO PROVIDE FOR RELATED MATTERS. [18th July, 2012] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: Amendment of Electoral Act 1992. 1.— Section 13A (inserted by section 4 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2001 ) of the Electoral Act 1992 is amended by inserting the following subsection after subsection
(3): “(3A) A person may use information in the register prepared under section 13, including a draft register or the supplement to the register prepared under section 15, being information which is excluded from the edited register, for the purpose of selecting citizens of Ireland to participate in the Convention on the Constitution called pursuant to a decision of the Government made on 21 February 2012 and approved by resolution of each House of the Oireachtas.”. (1)This Act may be cited as the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2012.
(2)The Electoral Acts 1992 to 2011 and this Act may be cited together as the Electoral Acts 1992 to 2012 and shall be read together as one.
