I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive 2009/40/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 May 20091 as amended by Commission Directive 2010/48/EU of 5 July 20102 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Vehicle Testing) Regulations 2004 (Revocation) Regulations 2013. 2. These Regulations come into operation on 27th March 2013. 3. The following Regulations are revoked— (

EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) The purpose of these Regulations is to revoke the European Communities (Vehicle Testing) Regulations, 2004 ( S.I. No. 771 of 2004 ).
