(5)of the Social Welfare and Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 (No. 20 of 2013), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare and Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 (Section 3) (Commencement) Order
- The 27th day of October 2013 is appointed as the day on which section 3 of the Social Welfare and Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 (No. 20 of 2013) comes into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 25 October
- JOAN BURTON, Minister for Social Protection. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) Section 3 of the Social Welfare and Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 amends a number of references contained in the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 to training which is provided or approved by FÁS in the light of the new structural arrangements for the provision of State training that are provided for in the Further Education and Training Act 2013 and the Education and Training Boards Act 2013 . In line with the dissolution of FÁS and its replacement by SOLAS and the Education and Training Boards, with effect from 27 October 2013, this Order provides for the commencement of the provisions of section 3 of the Social Welfare and Pensions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2013 also with effect from that date.
