I, ENDA KENNY, Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25
(1)of the Statistics Act 1993 (No. 21 of 1993) and for the purpose of giving full effect to Regulation (EC) No. 295/2008 of 11 March 20081 as amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 251/2009 of 11 March 20092 , hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Structural Business Inquiries) Order 2013.
(2)This Order has effect from 14th February, 2013. 2. This Order applies to any person or undertaking who engaged in one or more of the activities described in Schedule 1 at any time during a year in respect of which a survey is undertaken. 3. A person or undertaking to which this Order applies is required to provide the Central Statistics Office with information under the Statistics Act 1993 in relation to its activities, and in particular with the information specified in Schedule 2, relating to the year preceding the year in which a survey is undertaken. 4. The information referred to in Article 3 shall be provided annually. 5. The following orders are revoked on 13th February, 2013: (
- a)Statistics (Service Inquires) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 77 of 2008 ); (
- b)Statistics (Census of Industrial Production) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 78 of 2008 ); (
- c)Statistics (Building and Construction Inquiries) Order 2009 ( S.I. No. 115 of 2009 ). Schedule 1 Article 2 1. Mining and Quarrying 2. Manufacturing 3. Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply 4. Water Supply; Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation Activities 5. Construction 6. Particulars of the business activity of the undertaking. 3. Particulars of the accounting year covered by the return. 4. Particulars of the turnover of the undertaking, including breakdowns by type and by product. 5. Particulars of income other than turnover of the undertaking. 6. Particulars of indirect taxes paid or payable by the undertaking. 7. Particulars of production subsidies received by the undertaking. 8. Particulars of the value of stocks and work in progress of the undertaking at the beginning and the end of the period covered by the return. 9. Particulars of capital assets acquired and disposed of by the undertaking. 10. Particulars of purchases of goods and services by the undertaking and of other operating expenses. 11. Particulars relating to employment data, wages, salaries and other labour costs of the undertaking. 12. Particulars of all local units including subsidiaries, branches and outlets of the undertaking in the State. 13. Particulars of the location of the ultimate beneficial ownership. 14. Particulars of imports and exports by the undertaking. 15. Particulars relating to e-commerce usage and to the turnover resulting from e-commerce. 16. Particulars of payments to sub-contractors and to agency workers. 17. Particulars of research and development activities engaged in by the undertaking. 18.
