This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 2001 (Appointment of Manager) (Waterford) Order 2013. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 2nd day of January 2014. 3. Mr. Michael Walsh, manager for Waterford City is appointed as manager also for Waterford County. GIVEN under my Official Seal, 23 December 2013. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) This Order provides for the appointment, by Ministerial Order, of Mr. Michael Walsh as manager for Waterford County. This is the first appointment to this position after the commencement of Part 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012 (No. 17 of 2012). It is made in accordance with section 145 (3A) of the Local Government Act 2001 by virtue of Mr. Walsh holding the position of manager for Waterford City in the group of authorities in Waterford. Mr. Walsh will act as manager for both counties as provided for in section 144 (1A)(
