I, ENDA KENNY, T.D, Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25
(1)of the Statistics Act 1993 (No. 21 of 1993), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Statistics (Expenditure and Estimates of Health Insurers) Order 2014. 2. In this Order— “health insurance undertaking” means an undertaking that stands registered under Section 14 of the Health Insurance Act 1994 at any time during a reference period, and “reference period” means— (
- a)in the case of the first survey undertaken, the period comprising the years 2011, 2012 and 2013, and (
- b)in the case of each subsequent survey, the year to which the survey relates. 3. A health insurance undertaking shall provide the Central Statistics Office with the information the general nature of which is specified in Article 4 by 31 October 2014 and annually after that date. 4. The information referred to in Article 3 is information relating to— (
- a)expenditure in relation to claims paid directly to health care providers, (
- b)claims paid directly to members, and (
