I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2015. 2. The 13th day of April 2015 is appointed as the day on which sections 6 to 19 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) come into operation. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) This commencement order brings sections 6 to 19 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) into operation on 13 April 2015. These enactments deal with warnings to tenants relating to breaches of local authority tenancy agreements and reviews of such warnings, court proceedings for repossession of local authority dwellings, repeal of section 62 of the Housing Act 1966 and amendments to the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1997 relating to excluding orders and related matters. This is the second commencement order in respect of the 2014 Act. The first commencement order ( S.I. No. 404 of 2014 ) brought into operation on 15 September 2014— • Part 1 of the Act, • most of Part 4 relating to the Housing Assistance Payments scheme (HAP), and • HAP-related provisions in Part 5.
