I, HEATHER HUMPHREYS, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 51
(1)of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 (No. 11 of 1997) and the Arts and Culture (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 302 of 2002 ) (as adapted by the Tourism, Culture and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 220 of 2011 )), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 (Delegation of Functions) (Export Licences — Paintings) Order 2015.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 27 July
- The functions conferred on the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht under section 50 of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 (No. 11 of 1997) in relation to paintings are delegated to the Governors and Guardians of the National Gallery of Ireland. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation) This order delegates to the Governors and Guardians of the National Gallery of Ireland the functions set out in Section 50 of the National Cultural Institutions Act 1997 (No. 11 of 1997) regarding the issue of export licences in relation to paintings.
