I, DENIS NAUGHTEN, Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving full effect to Article 7

(5)of Regulation (EU) 2015/21201 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015, hereby make the following Regulations:
  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Communications (Mobile Telephone Roaming) Regulations 2013 (Amendment) Regulations
  3. These Regulations come into operation on 15 June
  5. In these Regulations “Principal Regulations” means the Communications (Mobile Telephone Roaming) Regulations 2013 ( S.I. No. 228 of 2013 ).
  6. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the definition of “Mobile Phone Roaming Regulation” the following: “ ‘Mobile Phone Roaming Regulation’ means Regulation (EU) 531/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 June 20122 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 20153 ”.
  7. Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations is amended— (a) by substituting for clause (i) of paragraph
(1)(
  1. a)the following: “(
  2. i)its obligations under Article 3, 4, 5, 6a, 6e, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15 or 16, or”, and (
  3. b)by substituting for clause (
  4. i)of paragraph
(4)(
  1. a)the following: “(
  2. i)its obligations under Article 3, 4, 5, 6a, 6e, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15 or 16, or”. GIVEN under my official Seal, 1 June 2017.
