I, Michael Creed, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Implementing Directive 2014/96/EU of 15 October 20141 , Commission Implementing Directive 2014/97/EU of 15 October 20142 and Commission Implementing Directive 2014/98/EU of 15 October 20143 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material) (Amendment) Regulations 2017. 2. The European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 384 of 2011 ) are amended in Regulation 2

(1)by substituting for- (
  1. a)the definition of “Directive”, the following— “‘Directive’ means Council Directive 2008/90/EC of 29 September 20084 (as amended by Regulation (EU) No 652/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 20145 , Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/159 of 4 February 20166 and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/1887 of 24 October 2016)7 , Commission Implementing Directive 2014/96/EU of 15 October 2014, Commission Implementing Directive 2014/97/EU of 15 October 2014 and Commission Implementing Directive 2014/98/EU of 15 October 2014;”, and (
  2. b)the definition of “Minister”, the following— “‘Minister’ means Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.”. 3. The European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material and Fruit Plants intended for Fruit Production) (Amendment) Regulations 1994 ( S.I. No. 198 of 1994 ) are revoked.
