(3)of Section 40 of the Greyhound Industry Act 1958 (No. 12 of 1958) hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say — 1. These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Operating) Amendment Regulations 2017. 2. The Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Operating) Regulations 1971 ( S.I. No. 47 of 1971 ) are hereby amended as follows: (
  1. i)By deletion of Article 19 (
  2. a)and (
  3. b)and the substitution therefor of the following: 19. (
  4. a)If after the completion of a race in the pool there are no winning units on the winning greyhound or greyhounds then the operator may at their discretion carry forward the net pool to be added either in whole or in such parts as the operator may determine to the net pool in the next or subsequent race in the Win Pool at the same or another greyhound race track as the operator may decide. (
  5. ii)By deletion of the reference “(c)” in Article 19 and the substitution therefore of “(b)” to the effect that Article 19 (
  6. c)will hereinafter be Article 19 (b). Any reference to Article 19 (
  7. c)in the Greyhound Race Track (Totalisator) (Operating) Regulations 1971 or in any other regulation or legislation is to be interpreted hereinafter as a reference to Article 19(b).” (iii) By the deletion of Article 25. (
  8. b)and the substitution therefor of the following: 25. (
  9. b)If, after the completion of a race in the pool there are no winning units on any of the placed greyhounds, then the operator may at their discretion carry forward the net pool to be added either in whole or in such parts as the operator may determine to the net pool in the next or subsequent race in the Place Pool at the same or another greyhound race track as the operator may decide. (
  10. iv)By the deletion of Article 29. (
  11. b)and the substitution therefor of the following: 29. (
  12. b)If after the completion of a race in the pool there are no winning units on any of the winning combinations, then the operator may at their discretion carry forward the net pool to be added either in whole or in such parts as the operator may determine to the net pool in the next or subsequent race in the Forecast Pool at the same or another greyhound race track as the operator may decide. 3.
