No. 205/2018 - Physiotherapists Registration Board Approved Qualifications Bye-Law 2018 AmendmentsLeasuithe Download PDF Íoslódáil PDF Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in “Iris Oifigiúil” of 19th June, 2018. The Physiotherapists Registration Board, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (as amended), with the approval of the Health and Social Care Professionals Council, hereby makes the following bye-law: 1.
(1)The bye-law may be cited as the Physiotherapists Registration Board Approved Qualifications Bye-Law 2018.
(2)The bye-law comes into operation on 13 June
- In this bye-law— “the Act” means the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (No. 27 of 2005) (as amended from time to time); “the Register” means the register of the Physiotherapists Registration Board established under section 36
(1)(a) of the Act. 3. The Physiotherapists Registration Board, for the purposes of Section 38
(2)(a) of the Act, hereby approves the following qualifications as attesting to the standard of proficiency required for registration in the Register:
(1)Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, University of Limerick;
(2)Master of Science in Physiotherapy (Professional Qualification), University of Limerick;
(3)Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, National University of Ireland, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland;
(4)Master of Science Physiotherapy (pre-registration), National University of Ireland, University College Dublin;
(5)Honours Degree Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy), National University of Ireland, University College Dublin;
(6)Professional Master of Physiotherapy, National University of Ireland, University College Dublin
(7)Bachelor in Science in Physiotherapy (BSc (Physio)) from the University of Dublin awarded to graduates on successful completion of the four year pathway/programme to this award. GIVEN under the seal of the Physiotherapists Registration Board, 13 June 2018. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) This bye-law identifies the qualifications awarded in the State which are approved by the Physiotherapists Registration Board as attesting to the standard of proficiency required for registration with the Physiotherapists Registration Board.
