I, HEATHER HUMPHREYS, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Council Regulation (EC) No 1236/2005 of 27 June 20051 as amended by: (

  7. d)Regulation (EU) No 181/2018 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 October 20175 hereby make the following regulations: 1. These regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Control of Trade in Goods That May Be Used for Torture) (Amendment) Regulations 2018. 2. The European Communities (Control of Torture in Goods That May Be Used for Torture) (Amendment) Regulations ( S.I. No. 339 of 2012 ) are amended by the substitution of the following definition for the definition of “Council Regulation”: “ ‘Council Regulation’ means Council Regulation (EC) No. 1236/2005 of 27 June 2005 concerning trade in certain goods which could be used for capital punishment, torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment as amended by: (
