I, JOE McHUGH, Minister for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 36 of the Technological Universities Act 2018 (No. 3 of 2018), hereby make the following order with respect to which, pursuant to section 3 of that Act, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving the draft has been passed by each such House: 1. This Order may be cited as the Technological Universities Act 2018 (Section 36) (Appointed Day) Order 2018. 2. The 1st day of January 2019 is appointed to be the appointed day for the purpose of section 36 of the Technological Universities Act 2018 (No.3 of 2018) and this Order. 3. On the appointed day referred to in Article 2— (
4. a)the following applicant institutes shall stand dissolved: (
5. i)Dublin Institute of Technology; (
6. ii)Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown; (iii) Institute of Technology, Tallaght, and (
7. b)the technological university known by the following name shall stand established: (
8. i)in the English language, Technological University Dublin, (
