I, SHANE ROSS, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25 of the Transport (Re-Organisation of Córas Iompair Éireann) Act, 1986 (No. 31 of 1986) and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 92 of 1987 ) (as adapted by the Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 141 of 2011 )) and with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Córas Iompair Éireann (Additional Functions) Order 2018. 2. The Board may provide a guarantee or indemnity, in such form and manner and on such terms and conditions as it thinks fit, in respect of the obligations and liabilities of a company concerning the performance of its functions. 3. The Board shall not, without the consent of the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport and the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, exercise the powers conferred on it by Article 2 to provide a guarantee or indemnity where the amount which the Board may be liable to pay pursuant to that guarantee or indemnity exceeds €15,000,000, or is otherwise unlimited. 4. The powers conferred on the Board by this Order are in addition and without prejudice to those conferred on it by the Córas Iompair Éireann (Additional Functions) Order 1993 ( S.I. No. 298 of 1993 ).
