I, Michael Creed, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1660 of 7 November 20181 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/35 of 9 January 20192 , hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) Regulations 2019. 2. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 426 of 2011 ) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2

(1)for the definition of “Commission Regulation 669/2009” the following – “ ‘Commission Regulation 669/2009’ means Commission Regulation (EC) No 669/2009 of 24 July 20093 (as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) No 212/2010 of 12 March 20104 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 323/2014 of 28 March 20145 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 718/2014 of 27 June 20146 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1024 of 23 June 20167 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2298 of 12 December 20178 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/941 of 2 July 20189 , Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1660 of 7 November 2018 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/35 of 9 January 2019), Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/943 of 18 June 201510 and Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/186 of 2 February 201711 ;”.
