(7)(inserted by section 4 of the Health Act 2008 (No. 21 of 2008)) of the Health Act 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Act 1970 (Section 45A
(7)) (Classes of Payments) Regulations
  1. The following classes of payments are prescribed for the purposes of section 45A
(7)(inserted by section 4 of the Health Act 2008 (No. 21 of 2008)) of the Health Act 1970 (No. 1 of 1970): (
  1. a)an ex-gratia payment or payments made to a person under the Scheme (within the meaning of section 1 (amended by section 2 of the Redress for Women Resident in Certain Institutions (Amendment) Act 2019 (No. 26 of 2019)) of the Redress for Women Resident in Certain Institutions Act 2015 (No. 8 of 2015)); (
  2. b)any subsequent income from the investment of the monies arising from an ex-gratia payment or payments referred to in paragraph (a). 3. The Health Act 1970 (Section 45A

This Order provides that any sums received by way of payments made to a person under the Scheme (within the meaning of section 1 (amended by section 2 of the Redress for Women Resident in Certain Institutions (Amendment) Act 2019 (No. 26 of 2019)) of the Redress for Women Resident in Certain Institutions Act 2015 (No. 8 of 2015)) will be disregarded in the calculation of gross income for eligibility for health services under section 45A and section 45(5A) of the Health Act 1970 .
