The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6

(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Housing, Planning and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020.
(2)This Order comes into operation on 30 September 2020. 2. The name of the Department of State, the present name of which is, in the Irish language, an Roinn Tithíochta, Pleanála agus Rialtais Áitiúil and, in the English language, the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, is altered, in the Irish language, to that of an Roinn Tithíochta, Rialtais Áitiúil agus Oidhreachta and, in the English language, to that of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. 3. The title of the Minister having charge of the Department of State, whose present title is, in the Irish language, an tAire Tithíochta, Pleanála agus Rialtais Áitiúil and, in the English language, the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, is altered, in the Irish language to that of an tAire Tithíochta, Rialtais Áitiúil agus Oidhreachta and, in the English language, to that of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage. 4. In any enactment or any instrument made under an enactment - (
  1. a)references to the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government shall be construed as references to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage; (
  2. b)references to the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government shall be construed as references to the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
